Gamboa Rainforest Resort is located within the Soberania National Park, 30 minutes away from Panama City on the Pacific Coast, and 30 minutes from the Colon Free Zone on the Caribbean. It also lies along the banks of the Chagres River and Gatun Lake, the main water sources for the Panama Canal and part of Panama's most precious assets.

HOTEL ROOMS
The Hotel's Main Building was built in the year 2000 with spacious modern rooms according to the highest hotel standards of a five star property. All of the rooms and suites come with minibar, electronic safe deposit box, satellite TV, crystal showers, hair dryers, makeup mirror, iron/ iron board, coffee/ coffee makers, monogrammed robes, fire protection system and balconies overlooking the Chagres River and the Rainforest.

SUITES

• Jr. Suite - These Suites have two floors, one main room with a King Size Bed, a living area and bathroom, which is connected to a loft through a spiral staircase where there are two twin size beds and a second bathroom.

• Deluxe River View Suites - The Deluxe River View Suites are twice the size of a regular Deluxe River View Room, with one main living room area with a pull out couch and a kitchenette. In a separate room we have the master Bedroom with a King Size Bed, a small living area and the bathroom.

• Tivoli Master Suite - The Tivoli Master Suites is unique in the Resort. A combination of a Junior Suite and Deluxe River View Suite, this suite is the most luxurious and spacious of the hotel, with a loft with two twin beds and a bathroom, as well as a separate main bedroom with a King Size Bed, a private balcony and a main bathroom.

HISTORICAL VILLA APARTMENTS
Adjacent to the main resort building, 48 tropical wooden construction apartments built in the 1930´s for the Panama Canal Administration officers, have been carefully renovated and decorated with charming tropical furniture. There is a total of four apartments in each one of the Villas. All Historic Villa Apartments come with separate Living Room areas, kitchenette with wet bar, sink and fridge, coffee/ coffee makers ,bathtubs in each of the bathrooms, satellite TV, Voice Mail data ports and Ceiling Fans as well as Air Conditioning units, which are individually controlled. All Apartments have lovely wooden floors and spectacular views of the Rainforest.

• Relation with the SMITSONIAN - The Smithsonian Institute, through the Smithsonian Institute of Tropical Research, has been studying Panama's complex ecosystems for over 60 years. With a unique accord, the Institute and the Resort are collaborating on a series of activities to give our guests and educational experience. The Resort is committed to endorse the efforts of the STRI in the constant search for donations.

• Banquets and Reunion Facilities - A total of seven meeting rooms with a 1.350 mts2. and various pre-function and rest areas with incredible panoramic views of the Chagres river and the Soberanía National Park, also with the latest in audio visual equipment.
